In addition to the permanent locations such as Albany and Houston Campuses, ETEC has the ability to travel to the client location. In 2000, ETEC went on the road and taught a class in Galway, Ireland. Although the weather was rough, the class of fourteen students successfully completed all exams in thirteen days.

On-Site Training in Ireland:

European Software Center, Galway, Ireland. ETEC, a Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center, completed another Windows 2000 Accelerated class. Of the 14 students, 100% of them completed the course and obtained their Windows 2000 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification in two weeks. During the rigorous course, tests were given via the ETEC mobile testing center. At the end of the course, the mobile testing center was made available for other Compaq employees wishing to pursue additional certifications from Cisco and Microsoft.

Barry Connaire, Training & Development Manager for the European Software Center, was instrumental in the success of the class, as he facilitated the conversion of a conference room into a classroom and ensured student hardware was configured as necessary for the class.
